Henry Lewis Scurry Jr. was born on September 11, 1969, in Lexington, Kentucky, the fourth child of Beatrice and Henry Lewis Scurry Sr. Henry departed this life in Lauderhill, Florida, on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.

A product of the Broward County, Florida, public schools, Henry attended Boyd Anderson High School and earned his diploma in 1988 from the Downtown Adult Center of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Henry accepted Christ as a youth and was baptized at New Mount Olive Baptist Church in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Henry routinely attended Sunday School and participated in holiday programs with his sisters. Later he would accompany his mother to church when he visited.

At an early age, Henry developed a love of art and drawing. He was a comic artist specializing in black or colored inks. Since 1989, under Power Force Creations, Henry would create vibrant pieces from his artistic imagination or based on client specifications.

To support his love of creating art, Henry worked as a longshoreman for twelve years with the International Longshoremen's Association Local 1526. In 2003, upon moving to Lorain, Ohio, Henry worked for seven years as an assembler for Plastipak Packaging. His most rewarding work environment was working in his friend's store, Jesse James Comics, in Glendale, Arizona, for six years.

Henry was preceded in death by his father, Henry Scurry Sr. and stepfather, Ellis Hill.
